Medium Stephen Wakeling Answers Your Questions
Date: 11 March 2011
Salam Kaifa Haloka,
Greeting my friend. I am taking the liberty of addressing you in Arabic, owing to the fact that you are from Iran. First of all I find it most interesting that you are seeking spiritual knowledge and are reading books.
To this point may I suggest also the teaching of a great Islamic Saint and Theologian Mawlana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi (1207 - 1273)? I am sure that you know the name Mawlana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi which stands for love and ecstatic flight into the infinite. Rumi is one of the greatest spiritual and literary figures of all time and was the founder of the Mawlawi Sufi order. He was born in Balkh, presently called Afghanistan on September 30th 1207 to a family of learned theologians.
Mawlana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi addressed humanity as a whole saying: “I do not distinguish between the relative and the stranger.”
“In generosity and helping others be like a river
In compassion and grace be like the sun
In concealing other’s faults be like the night
In anger and fury be like the earth
In tolerance be like the sea
Either exist as you are, or, be as you look”
Mawlana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi
Your first question though: What is the best way to contact spirits? The simple answer is we can’t - they contact us. So how do you prepare yourself? First you have to realise the potential and capacity of your own gift. Each of us has a different perception of spirituality. So you need a teacher of spiritual matters, someone who can support your development which must be to seek enlightenment in support of the whole of humanity. Please try to remember the teachings of all the great ones - it is we, who are tested, not they, that test us. It is within ourselves that we reach for the pearls of price that no earthly pursuit can buy. Therefore, time, patience and effort are the workplace of all knowledge and spiritual attainment.
The second question is in reference your friend’s father who has passed into light. The reason he has shown himself is built through the bridge between him and your friend’s mother - the bridge is one of love! The first thing within spiritual unfoldement is to take away fear. Fear eats at the heart of all mankind - so may I suggest a few gentle and comforting words to your friend and his mother. Try to reassure them that the father is at peace and comes back not to bring fear, but love, support and guidance from the eternal world of light and beauty. I am sure he will not need anything; he just wants to pass over the point that he is safe and well! All she should do is remember the bond between them, hold fast to love – it is the bridge that unites all people.
I hope this help you move towards your own spiritual goals and aspirations. May I suggest that you do not read too much at a time, like a large meal, a little? But frequency sustains the traveller on his voyage of discovery.
Ma’a salama Bettawfeeq
