This an instruction of how to prepare for a Reiki Attunement. During the Reiki Attunement process, the auric field, certain physiological aspects of the body and chakras centers are metaphysically realigned. A Reiki Attunement can cause any negative implants such as emotional anger and guilt to resurface or manifest within the individual receiving the attunement. In order to prepare for the purging of harmful/negative energies from the three Divine parts of the human experience (The Soul, Mind and Physical Body); one must engage in the purification process which greatly increases the desired positive results that a Reiki Attunement Session produces.
Preparing for A Reiki Attunement:
Temporarily restriction of meats, poultry or fish from the diet three days prior to your Reiki Attunement. Meat in the digestive system (especially red meat), can make your physical body sluggish and dense. Excellent substitutions for protein in the diet are beans, legumes, and tofu. Additionally, consider doing a colon cleanse 7 to 14 days prior to your Reiki Attunement. You can purchase colon cleansing kits at most nutritional stores.
Drink ample amounts of water to aid the colon, kidneys and liver to flush the body of toxins. Drink at least 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water to assist your body in its detoxification process. Your kidneys will thank you later! Pay close attention how your urine color and smell will improve. This step is known to help relieve minor kidney and liver pains, as well. Also, Reiki Attunements have been known to cause slight constipation due to the realignment of the chakras. The more water the better!
Refrain from caffeine in your diet three days prior to your Reiki Attunement. Caffeine is an active ingredient in many beverages, foods and medications both over the counter and prescribed. Reducing your caffeine intake may alleviate any chemical imbalances that may adversely affect the central nervous system and endocrine system of the body.
Go Green! Organically grown leafy green vegetables are excellent sources of vitamins and minerals the body requires to sustain its normal balance. Consider grabbing a V8 or V8 Splash, blend fresh fruits and or vegetables for a terrific smoothie snack instead of drinking carbonated drinks or any caffeinated products.
Reduce sugar and salt intake. Sugar and salt can cause agitation of the circulatory system.
Restrict alcoholic beverages from your intake for three days prior to your Reiki Attunement. Alcohol cause dehydration of the body, therefore it is not conducive for the Reiki Attunement process.
Clear the air. Restrain from smoking and reduce exposure to second hand smoke. Smoking reduces the physical bodies natural ability to facilitate the blood gas exchange process through capillary lung function at the cellular level. Also, smoking adversely affects the heart and causes heart disease.
Experience nature at it's finest! Whether it's in a country field, the neighborhood park or a stroll down the street, go outside and absorb your natural surroundings and the world around you. Become aware of all your five senses and elements: Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Spirit, Touch, Taste, Sight, Smell and Sound. Record your findings and experience in your journal.
Emotional Clearing Prior to A Reiki Attunement:
Emotional blockages such as guilt, anger, hatred, bitterness, envy, excessive worry and or any unresolved emotional baggage can actually hinder the bodies ability to properly heal. In order to maintain physical health we must maintain mental and spiritual health, as well.
Write an Emotional Blockage List in your journal of any and all emotional blockages for admonishment 7 days prior to your Reiki Attunement. One of the greatest gifts of the Reiki Attunement process is the Emotional Clearing. This is a time to identify old emotional scarring and resolve the emotional damage. Emotional stresses can cause physical pain and ailments to manifest and therefore, are not conducive to achieving desired positive results.
After you have established your Emotional Blockage List, work through your list one issue at a time and focus on how to resolve or outgrow your emotional issues. Dealing with stressful memories and events may trigger emotions/feelings that you forgot about that were laying dormant in your sub conscious mind. It helps to have a good support system who can listen and not judge you and also, aid you in resolving these blockages. If you feel that you need professional counseling services, select a professional that respects your metaphysical and or spiritual choices and views.
Learn to forgive yourself. Once you have identified which emotional areas need work, continue with your emotional clearing process by forgiving yourself first. Then, if in the event that your emotional issue involves another individual(s), speak with them or write to them and ask for their forgiveness. Whether the other individual(s) actively forgives you at that time is not as important as you putting for the effort to "Cleanse the Way" between you and the individual(s) involved.
Maintaining Emotional Clearing: Deal with problems as they arise! Do not allow your problems to fester. When you come angry, redirect the emotion by channeling the negative emotions/feelings to a positive resolution. Consciously practice thinking prior to reacting to any situation. Using this method results in positive conflict resolution.
Ensure that you will be uninterrupted during your Reiki Attunement process, this includes turning off the phone and notifying friends and family that you will be unavailable during your Reiki Attunement Session.Reiki Attunement Energy is the Universal Life Force Energy Field that is channeled from the Reiki Master to the Reiki Attunement receiver. Fifteen to thirty minutes prior to your Reiki Attunement release any tension and negativity from the Mind, Body and Spirit. This technique is called "Grounding." Then, enter into a light state of meditation and relax. You are now ready to begin your Reiki Attunement Session.
