Gro Mambo Angela Novanyon, Idizol is a world renowned Haitian Voodoo High Priestess. Gro Mambo Angela has been a spiritual advisor to political figures in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti to name a few. She has consulted for and provided spiritual work for high profile celebrities; the medical and legal community; clergy from various religious denominations. Gro Mambo Angela has created opportunities for the general public to have accurate information and to be educated on African-based religions (culture/traditional/spiritual practices) through annual ceremonies, conference and spiritual baths/cleansings for the mind, body and spiritual.
She has presented to the public at large “Chrismation – A Formal Rite of Passage” a Community Outreach Program that is geared towards reaching and empowering our youths as they make their transition from childhood to adulthood. This 6-12 week program created by Gro Mambo Angela, in which she utilizes her knowledge of Haitian and African culture offering a traditional African cultural/traditional experience. The program is designed to bring to light the importance of parental and community involvement in the lives of our youth and to provide them with a springboard to be successful in their adult life.
Gro Mambo Angela has been featured on A&E The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, National Geographic, The New Orleans Times Picayune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, as well on the radio, television, several major newspaper and magazine publications for her work as a High-Priestess; the Chairperson of the National African Religion Congress/NARC World.
