Discussion Board: All Matters Spiritual and Spiritualist
Date: 5 January 2017
Today Jan 5 2017 is the 124th birthday of Yogananda. I am a little sad because I used to be a follower. He increased my awareness of "all matters spiritual" as you call your board.
But I can't stand his SRF Self Realization Fellowship (values of the 1950's, strict obedience and devotion to the "Master", a very conservative movement with very conservative values), mostly the poker faced men dressed in black who corral the attendance towards their pew or towards the front of the temple when we solemnly walk in line to deposit donations and flowers in front of the picture of "The Guru". I am through with the SRF. Any word of wisdom on how to do this divorce? Is it "spiritual" to keep the good and get rid of the sh*t?
